Default Is Clear Bra for S4 worth it?

Hi guys,
I'm thinking of getting a clear bra done on my 2007 Black S4. the Brand is 3m and is going to be cut from a XPel Paint Protection Film Kit. Its going to be on the front of my hood and is going to cover headlights as well as mirrors. The only thing is that it costs 1050.00 to do it and I wanna know if the clear bra will really do that much to protect my car from scratches and dings that i might get from running over little rocks on the freeway.

As an alternative to getting the clear bra I could be using the money for tinting and a wicked milton exhaust system... what do you guys think?? Should i go with clear bra or with something else?

I had the clear bra on my old GTI... it was ok for a while, then after a while rocks would still get threw.

I would just get that wicked milton exhaust

My mom got it on her new A6 but we negotiated it for free at the dealer, it helps but just make sure that the people that are doing it have some sort of guarantee becouse it took like two times before they got it right becouse air bubles start to apear after a while. so it works but i mean a pebble doing about 100 will go through it anyway, so i would just gofor an exhaust... make the pebble do 140 lol

My dealership quoted me at 900 for just the bumper. I would shop around and see if someone can get you a better price. I will be doing the same. I too have a black 2007.

pic's look great, except for the second one. how much did you spend on the bra? was it the full size one, or the three-quarter bra? did you install it yourself? or have a dealer, or authorized distributor finish it?

thanks for your time.

OMFG why waste money on car bra's and exterior protection? Spend the money on performance mods. If it costs 1050 to 3m the front end, think about the fact that it only cost me $350 to paint my front bumper. Don't worry about the paint, it's going to get f%&$#d up no matter what you do. I went crazy for the first two years I owned my car parking way away from other ppl and worrying about tree sap and bug splatter. But you know what, my paint is still fu&%ed. Bottom line, other people don't give a $hit how nice your car is and will park next to you and ding your ride. Spend that cash on performance mods (for a grand you can get a chip and maybe even an exhaust too).

I was also thinking about getting a clear bra done for my A4. Doesn't it have to be very clean in the area that you want to putit on before it's applied? I wouldn't want any dirt or grime stuck under the bra.
