The whole process took well about 7-8 hours i started at 10 in the morning and finsished around 5:30!.. But yes anyone wanting a show car shine. Believe me do those steps listed above, i must say its tough work but when its all done its incredible! I almost gave up because right after i clayed the car and applied the cleaner wax the car was so shiny! But every coat of the different waxs just makes a biiggggg difference!

I don't like Zaino. First off, there is no polish, so you have to use another brand to clean up the car. Second, you have to mix it, & use all of it. While it REALLY, REALLY shines, it's flat, with no luster. It just looks so sterile. If you have ANY imperfections in the paint, Zaino, will bring it out, & slap you in the face with it.

It's also a little hard to apply, takes a few coats, & if you mess up it looks like A$$, & will need to be redone from the strip phase!

But it does shine, & it does last.

I like Menzerna, with a Carnuba top wax, I prefer Zymol carnuba.

Now you have went and done it - Opened the Zaino discussions door which is good and everybody play nice.

I just finished a six month longevity test using Meguiar’s #21 using three different cars.

Trailer queen – never driven - lasted six months before needing re application - Dusted off on a monthly basis.

Grocery getter – out and about town a couple of times per week - five months before needing reapplication - Monthly car wash by me.

Daily driver – 43 mile daily commute to work and used on weekends – five months before needing reapplication - Monthly car wash by me.

Clients were very pleased with the shine and duration because before this test they were in every month or six weeks for a fresh coat of wax. Wax has a short duration before evaporation here in Georgia.

Testing was conducted around the Atlanta suburban area during our late fall, winter and the beginning of spring seasons. Pollen was horrible this year!

By no means was this test scientifically done. I ask if they would let me try #21 and it could save them some money in the long run and they jumped on this opportunity.

This is what worked for me on my three test cars. I am going to request that my regular clients go with #21 because on a monthly basis it will save me a couple of hours and they will save some cash as I do not have to apply a fresh coat of wax each month.

Your can Google a couple of supply houses looking for the Meguiar’s #21 sealant if you wish.

Google auto detailing solutions or show car detailing or autogeek, if they request a referral use me – they might send me a WW towel. lol
