Yes, it will make a big difference. The way will bring the shine out. It's easy to do.. Just like Ninja Turtles or Karate Kid - Wax on, wax off. Do one panel at a time until you get the hang of it, then you can work more quickly. Make sure you wax it off just before the wax completely dries. It should just bunch up and wipe right off. You don't have to buff it afterward, but it would also help fill in the lines you're talking about. The lines are just wear/tear basically from years of contact with the clear coat.

First wash then dry. Then claybar for best results. Then use a wax made for swirl repair. Finally, use a high polish wax to get that mirror look. There are lots of products in your average autoparts store.

I noticed that on my car there are circular lines on my paint job. I noticed that in the Presidential Detailing posts that they were removed. How do I do this cheaply?
I have only gone through a no touch car wash once. The rest was hand-washing.
I also may have done something retarded. I used a damp rag to remove some dirt/water spots. I am worried that the dirt particles may have scratched my car or something.
Never have used a buffer.

These are introduced into the paint from hand washing and drying....it's just part of owning and caring for a car.
First, you can't wax them out. Wax is not meant to hide that much damage. They can only be polished out which means you must abrade away paint to level out the edges.
Trying this by hand is possible but your results won't be very pleasing so you'll need a machine polisher, a paint polish and some foam pads.
Now a "glaze" *MAY* hide some of the marring but here again it won't cover it all and it's only a temporary fix. The glaze will wash and/or wear off quickly.
Also you'll want to polish first THEN wax. If you wax first and then use a polish the polish will remove the wax.
A clay bar will only clean contaminates off of paint, it won't remove or repair these halo-scratches. Contact a qualified professional detailer and have them correct your paint then learn to properly care for it from that point.

axel ny....my hood looks like your before shot....how in the world did you get it to be so clear in your after shot???? It looks amazing!! like glass...only my hood looks this way though (your before shot)....I wonder why
