Default New Car Smell

Does anyone have any idea how to get that new car smell back after years of use? And I'm not talking about those cheap "new car smell" air fresheners that smell nothing like the real thing. Or would anyone know what type of air freshener would be the closest match to the real thing?

If you talk to a local dealership or any other shop that does detail work, i'm sure they would tell you. If I can find out a specific brand, I will let you know.

Thanks buddy. For the time being I use the Advance Auto brand air freshener. It's great stuff, even better than the name brand in my opinion, but it just doesn't have the smell I'm looking for.

do you mean, smell like "new car from factory/dealership"? i've never seen air freshener like this. i think, that smell because everything in interior is new.

Its some sort of TOXIC chemical. Not to easy to get in your hands but once you have it, BOMB the car and you're good.

Yep, Its the toxins leaching out of the plastic and eating away at your grey matter. Also seems to somehow stimulate the nerve center so that you are euphoric even though you just shelled out god knows how much on that outrageously priced extended warranty or the hand stitched floor mats.

I don't think you are going to be able to find anything exactly like it. I think it is kind of hard to chemically emulate the scent of fresh leather and plastic.

that "fresh car smell" is the chemicals coming off of your plastics. they fog up windows and are probably a carcinogen.

want a fresh car smell?

recondition the leather (I highly recommend Wizard's products)
and use a good "quick detailer" for the dash and all of the "hard parts"

you're car will smell amazing.
I just got done with mine last night.
it's by no means a quick job.
and
q-tips will become your friend for all those tiny crevasses.
damn audi and their perfect fitments.

yeah,just buy another car

but good point on the detailing/conditioning inside, itll smell great, and probably causes less forms of cancer than REAL new car smell ahah
