Default 2002 A3 radio unlock

I've just bought a second hand Audi A3 and the radio is in "SAFE" mode. I know what is supposed to be done and I even have the code but it is not working. There was an electronic problem in the car and could that have reset the code? Anyone have any idea what could be done?

Try disconnecting the battery for 10 min. and then input the code. Also have you checked the fuse? I removed the fuse and then reinstalled the fuse, then enter the code fixed my radio. Maybe this will fix your issues.

In the manual there is a page on fuses that gives a diagram of the fuses, and will tell you the fuse position for the radio. The fuses are located on the driver side. Open the driver door and there is a panel that can be opened. Match the fuse location and remove the fuse to see if it is bad.
