Hello all, I have a question which I have tried to research but not much luck! My question is that I have an 05 A6, the car was not originally equipped with the navi unit. I bought an 06 avant and decided to try and put the navi unit into my A6. After I removed the nav unit and the sat/xm unit, I went to install it into my car, well it appears that I have the correct hook up for the sat/xm unit but no fiber optic cable or plug ins for my navi unit. Is there anyway to make the unit work without having to strip the entire wire harness out of the avant and replacing it from the front of the car to the rear? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did find some retrofit kits on ebay but not sure they will fit the 06 to 05 set up, or have all the connections I need. They are also from China and I have had nothing but bad luck with any electrical parts from China.
