hi i want to install a cd player to my 96 a4 so i can get better sound quality when i play my ipod. i heard i have to get all new speakers to get a newcd player. so if i have to get new speakers....which ones would you guys recommend?

in my 96 i replaced the deck with one that has an auxillary output wich is an inexpensive way of doing it. that gives you digital sound quality but your left running everything still off your ipod. you can get an alpine or panasonic deck and use the fullspeed ipod cable wich charges your ipod and passes audio through the dock port on the ipod. the alpine piece is super easy to use and that is the one i would recommend. when you do this you get the digital SQ and you might not even need to change out your speakers. if you do decide to change out the speaks, i would suggest a component set and amping those up, along with getting a sub. say a 12" single or two 10"s just for some low fill. hope that helps.
