aftermarket head unit resets itself with power off
oh my do i hate wires..... i have installed dozens of head units before but this is just driving me nuts
i put an aftermarket pioneer 2000mp in the car last week and wired everything the way it should be...although i am having a problem.
when i turn the car on the headunit doesnt go on with it, i have to manually turn it on, and then it forgot where the last settings were at etc etc...works 100% fine until i have to turn the car off and back on
i have all the wires hooked up properly, accessory is going to accessory and constant to constant...but still it is losing power and not keeping that small trickle of "save" energy when the car goes off
anyone have a clue why this happens? is this a common problem with these A4s, because like i said, ive done tons of installs and never had a problem like this before.
thanks!

RE: aftermarket head unit resets itself with power off
Since this is a fairly old post, i'll assume you got your problem fixed. However, on the slight off-chance that you haven't, try swaping the accessory and battery wires with one another. I had the same problem when i installed my kenwood deck, and discovered that if i swapped those two wires, everything was fine.
