RE: Aftermarket Instilation help
Never mind, i figured it out myself.
For those who are interested, with the 80/90 series, possibly the 100, not sure. There are four roughly 1/8th inch holes around the border of the stock head unit. What your going to want to do is take a very thin screw driver, and push it into the holes on one side, what this does is depress a little flap of metal that allows you to pull it out.
Its easier if you have two of the same size thing so you can get it one side at a time, but i had no problem doing it with only one screwdriver.
From there, i went to circuit city and bought a 1987-up volkswagen wiring harness (VW used the same thing for everything lol), it was real simple, the existing harness just plugged right in, and from there i took my universal single din head unit and plugged the wires straight from that into the clearly marked harness. It slipped right in and had absolutley no issues with mounting it.
The one issue i had was finding an antenna adapter that fit. I am still in the process of doing this and will update eeryone when i do.
