All right, I feel like a retard
I have a blown rear speaker in my 1999.5 A4 (non-Bose) and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to remove the rear deck. I've searched everywhere on this forum, tried to figure out the tech guide on Audiworld, and read more posts with confusing instructions and terrible grammar than I'd like to admit. Is there anyone that has just a couple of pictures or something simple to understand?
This is wicked frustrating, because I have my replacement speakers sitting on my desk and I spent like, three hours trying to figure this out. Why couldn't this be easy like a brake job or a clutch?!

remove the bottom of the rear seat on each side there is a pop in clip pull stright up push out seat belts and remove the bottom of the seat
on the sides of the top there are 1 bolt on each side remove bolts then push in and up on the top of the side of seat then do same on other side then remove the 2 seat peice from car
then remove the third brake light cover it sides out (towards you) then unplug it and remove
there are 3 hook looking things on the top of the rear deck the cover on the round side pops up remove the bolt under it do same to the other 2 and remove
then rear deck is just held in by clips lightly pull upwards and you can't remove it completely from the car but you can slide it forward and put it down where the back seat is then there they are the rear speakers

All right, I don't follow your instructions. I assume the two bolts you talk about are the two fairly large ones that have a metal clip attached to the bracket?

RE: All right, I feel like a retard
I searched and found a million posts, and got tired after reading "oh, it was wicked easy" for the first five hundred thousand. I guess when I said I was sick of reading confusing instructions with terrible grammar, it was looked over...
Oh well, new spearkers in and now I'm mostly happy.
