I recently bought my Audi 4 Quattro and have no prior experience with them. when I went to get in the car today I turn the key and the dash lights came on but the engine did not start. I realize the hazard lights were on but the hazard button was not push. I think it might have something to do with the electrical because when I turn the lock on the trunk the hazards turned off. and then unlocking and relocking the driver side door and trying to turn the car on again it worked. does anyone know what this might be and how I can prevent in the future? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

 

Hi i seem to have the same issue, i have an Audi A4 avant , put my key in ingition, dash
lights come on , engine starts then fades away and hazards come on, the only way i can stop them flashing is to disconnect one of the battery leads, i will try the boot tomorrow.
i have had mechanics out they reckon a electricial fault, if you get yours sorted could you
please let me know, the immobilser is okay
