The instrument cluster on my audi a4 went out on my at 75k miles...I posted this in the classified section by accident.

in any case, this issue left me with a big bill and stranded on the highway with my dog and 2 others. audi didn't seem to care much and didn't help at all on the phone. they said I'd have to pay $1,600 for an issue that i could not have possibly caused. am currently guaging refill by my odometer.

has anyone else had this problem? if so, please reply with your vin. i need to make a case to audi that i'm not the only one with this issue (which is what they told me). my sister has a VW and she had the same problem...she said that VW has many parts made in mexico which has been reported to cause VW maintenance issues.
