Avic D1 in an A4 B5 - possible?

Avic D1 in an A4 B5 - possible?
I have read numerous threads about Nav systems but i have not seen one saying if this model can be installed in a 2000 B5 A4.
Perhaps i am missing something, but if one can use the same cables as the D3 model then, in theory it should work?
I want to install a Nav system in my 00' B5 A4 but am a little reluctant to purchase the unit prior to having some sound information.
Reason for this particular one is that i can find it for a good price 400 below the D3 model and about the same less than for the RSNE Nav.
Has anyone done this install?

it will go fine forget what you heard
search ebay they have all the parts you need or go to crutchfield .com .do you have concert system or symphony bose let me know and I'll put together a parts list for you. personally I would go with the D3 instead of the D1

I have the Symphony 1 Bose system. in my 00' A4 1.8T.
How much would you pay for one that is in good condition with all the parts and accessories included?
