Bluetooth Problems
Being a new owner of an '06 A3 sport with Bluetooth (YEA - I love the car), I quickly found out my phone was not supported and very few phones are supported. My phone would connect with the car, but not download the phonebook and no steering wheel functions were available. I did an internet search and found the company JETware (http://www.jetwaremobile.com/) that has a utility to load on my phone (Audiovox SMT-5600 SmartPhone) to make it compatible with the Audi Bluetooth. My car now downloads the phonebook but the pickup/hangup button on the steering wheel will only hangup (I can't accept a call with this button). There are advanced options in this utility that is supposed to correct this problem for BMWs, but it doesn't work for me. Anyone know how to get this utility to work fully or anyone know of a different utility that will work? I've got 30 days on the trial version before I have to buy ($14.95), so would like to know if there are other options/fixes available before I buy.
FYI - In case someone in the future stumbles across this thread with a similar problem, JETWare gave me a Beta version of their utility that fixes a list of issues (none of which were my problem) and it fixed my problem with hanging up on incoming calls. I now have a fully functional bluetooth system. YEA!!!
