Concert Stereo in Safe Mode

Talking Concert Stereo in Safe Mode

Hello im kinda new to this forum so apologies if this is already explained somewhere else and i haven't spotted it.

i bought an R (97) Audi A4 1.8 about 2 years ago and couldn't be happier with it. the car came with a head unit fitted and the original Audi Concert stereo, i have now fitted the original stereo and comes up in SAFE mode does anyone know how to unlock it?

the serial is AUZ5Z3W0044377. thankyou for your help

im not 100% sure but i think you will an unlock code that is specific to that factory radio. it should be in the owners manual or maybe available from an audi dealer.
the lock or safe mode is an anti-theft feature, at this point i would look for a better aftermarket head unit

You need to hold down the RBDS and the P-Scan button, the screen will then give you the option to enter a 4 digit code. You will need to know your code to unlock the computer....Check your owners manual it is explained in there and the code is usually written in.

Option "B," if you don't have it written down in teh book is to drop about $50.00 at the stealers and have them pull the code for you.
