ok i want a double din in my 96 b5a4. by looking at the 99.5 and 2000 center dash, it look like metra makes a kit for the double din. here is my question will the climate controls and everything thats in that whole unit switch and connect right in, so i can buy the double din dvd player

i don't think the heat control unit will since the 99.5 and up are fully electronic and are a different size

What plugs are you talking about? You have to use the same plugs unless you are planning to extend them and relocate your ac controlls somewhere other than the dash.

The double din only fits if you have room for the double din. I am sure that the metra kit wont even fot in your dash, even of it did where would you put your a/c controlls?

Post a pic and let us see what you are trying to do.
