Default Good brand of HID kit? burned out HID...how to fix?

http://www.hidkit.com/Audi-A4-HID-Kits/

The passenger HID light is out on my b5 a4. they are after market headlights now...projector lights with 6000k ballasts. It used to turn on and then lately it comes on only sometimes and now not at all. Why is this? was it just slowly burning out? Do they burn out? can i replace just a bulb or what? I bought the car with these lights, so i am lost on what to do now to get it to work again. what do you recommend on the link given? any help and thoughts on HID repair, brands, and other info. would be great!

thanks for the links. those are some better prices than what i have found. But do i need to buy all new? Why was the one sometimes coming on and sometimes not? was the bulb just slowly going bad or is that a sign of a bad ballast and/or wiring?

What do you recommend i do at this point....try new bulbs or new ballasts?

Swap ballasts, right and left, to see if the problem moves.
If it doesn't change things swap bulbs. If that doesn't change things you
have a wiring, fuse or relay problem.

I'll give that a shot. thanks for the advice.

also, whats weird is I was driving home tonight and when i got home, it was on. does that sound like a relay issue? ill try swapping things and see if it moves and then go from there.

I found out its a bad ballast. Does anyone know where i can find the same ballast, or do i have to buy 2 new ones?

Is this an OEM ballast? Where can i get this exact one?

You should include the year and model of yor car in your avatar.
You could take the ballast to an Audi Parts Dept.
Are yoUr bulbs D2S?
