I have 2001 audi a4 and my radio is in safe mode. Can any help me get out of it. I do not have the code for the radio. So how can i find out what it is!!!

 

a guy just had this problem the other day. he pulled his radio, got the serial number off the top (AUZ number) and called Audi. they gave him the code for the radio over the phone. total time 15 minutes.

I have also heard horror stories of the stealership charging $50-$100 to pull the radio and retrieve the code for folks.

if you have the original owners manual, check there for the code. sometimes it is on the "spec" plate in the trunk by the spare tire well. occasionally the code can be found handwritten on the top or side of the radio (requires it to be pulled)

 

thank you for the response.. but i already called the dealer and with the serial number and he gave me this bullshit thing saying that they cant disclose any of that information over the phone. but i will check the spare tire well.. thank you
