I called to have my Serius radio activated and I could not find the serial number when looking in the satelite options. I called the dealer and was told I did not have satelite radio. I distinctly remember being told it was Serius ready and if I had known it did not, it would have been a deal breaker or they put it in for free.

The unit costs about $500, and I am not happy at all. Can I go to a local place and have the module installed? I am not paying $500 for that POS. I already paid for the damn sound package, which I thought included it.

His reply was "Well, I gave you the window sticker. Besides, it ONLY costs $500". Any ideas other than kicking the salesman's ***?[/align]

Sorry to hear that. That's why I call some of them "STEALERSHIP". Bait, catch, throw back and re-bait. I'd go somewhere else, maybe aftermarket if you can't get it for free through the stealership. Good Luck..

 

You can find them on eBay for about $250 most of the time.

Surprisingly, my A3 has a Sirius tuner that I did not pay for! It was not on the sticker and I never asked to have one installed, but when I went searching for the antenna lead (for a future install of an Alpine unit) there was the Audi tuner! All I had to do was connect one lead and it works fine! Nice of them to give me a freebie, probably unbeknownst to them.
