Default Install XM in 2000 A4

I just recentely purchased an XM radio and would like to do a clean installation. I have seen many posts about later models than my 2000, but nothing too close to my year/model. I am not interested in using the FM modulator, tape adaptor, or cig lighter for power. Instead I would like to install this pro, and hopefully find a power source and go straight to the stero head with a direct connection.

Has anyone tried this or seem some done similar in a 2000/b5 series?

Thanks in advance.

Can't give you advice about the direct connection to the H/U. But an easy short cut to finding a 12volt source it to just tap into the cig lighter harness. It's easier than finding one in the wire bundle behind the dash.

Your local auto parts store should have T Taps for tapping the power. Find the wires for your existing Cig lighter, and tap those.

How are you planning on connecting to the factory radio?
