Default Installing symphony sub in 97A4 B5

Hi,

I have just bought an Symphony sub i am planning to install in my Audi A4 B5 Avant. My HU is Blaupunkt München (Pretty old, but still good). On the sub it says Nokia, and it looks like this:

Here is a picture of the plug i have to connect (10pin connector):

Have any of you made the same "mod" to a non-bose or non-symphony car? Are the wires already there so i dont need to wire it myself? Does the amp use High, or low voltage signal?

Thanks

if its ture sub power it will run low freq. do u ahve the actualy symph/bose amp or are you using an aftermarket one? didnt really understand what you had. If you got the factory one with the amplified harness for the amp you should be fine but if your using an aftermarket one you will prolly need to splice into that 10 pin harness and find the propers wires you need.

Yes, it is pure LF. I have a aftermarket player so i will have to splice the plug as you said. But it would be easier if someone had a schematic or something.

Does the amp contain a Low pass-filter? And does the amp use high or low-voltage signal?

I took a look inside now and discovered a couple of things. Looks like the sub actually have two coils! Unfortantly the Amp looked really cheap and weak. I was not able to locate the signal wire or power-wire, so it would have been great if someone had some info on this.

Yea you are deffinatley going to need a bently for your car or somehting for that one, but you sound like your on the rihgt road to get that put it. as soon as you figure out what wire is what you should be easy.

i would scrap the symphony sub, and just go aftermarket. It will be easier and sound better, not to mention you ont be cutting or splicing any factory wires.
