I am considering buying a5; looking into iphone integration solutions. All I need is audio interface into car speakers; and it is critical for me to be able to control music using the iphone itself.

- Does the music interface option offered by audi ($400) maintain functionality of the iphone itself? I do not want it to lock out iphone and transfer all controls to audi.

- Does anyone has experience with aftermarket integration solutions? I currently have iSimple on my acura($200) and very happy with it

 

If all you're looking for is audio, why not just use a cable from the iPhone's headphone jack into the aux port?

 

salesman told me there is no aux input...
