Which Key Fob to Order?
Hey guys, quick question. I've done some searching on here but was unable to find a definite answer. I bought my 2000 A4 FWD with no keyless remote, just a key. I want to make sure and buy the right fob, how do i figure out with one i need? As i understand it there are several part numbers. Also, how do i tell if i need a 2 or 3 button remote? Would both work? Thanks guys!

I have a A4 B5 1998, I got it with 2 keys, only one has the transponder in it.
I was looking on getting myself a key fob, but don't know if I need the 2, 3 or 4 button fob. Or as you said "Would both work" ???
Also if I picked up one with the option of a flip key, could the key be programmed from the key I already have?
I have looked on the site that "Auditis" has recommend but to tell the truth, it has not helped me at all.
As a quick update, I have order PN 4D0 837 231 R at the price of £40.00 new, and hope it works, if not I'll sell it on.
