Multiple electrical problems
Hi guys, I'm new here. So please forgive me if these questions have been asked before.
I bought a 2001 A4 Quattro 1.8T a few months back. I haven't been able to put it on the road due to a few electrical problems. I've looked everywhere online but can't seem to find any answeres. Here's my problems:
The gas gauge is always pinned on full. I actually put $15 of gas in and it went down from full to 3/4.
The temp gauge doesn't work. It goes up just a little bit. No matter how long I let it run.
The oil temp gauge doesn't move at all.
The keyless entry doesn't work. (I changed the batteries).
I bought a vagcom and hooked it up to the car. I went into diagnose and checked the gauges. All the gauges work. I tried to connect to the convenience control to try and program the remote. It says it can't be found. Does anyone know where it is in the car? I can't find it anywhere. Is it the comfort control module? That's in the trunk passenger side. I have a replacement for that. Could all these problems be related to a bad convenience control module? Is there even a convenience control module? Or is it just another name for the comfort control module?
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!
