I am new to Audi Forums and a new owner of the A8L. My NAV works intermittently and says to check DVD. I have bought and replaced the DVD and found the original I had worked more often than the one I purchased.

I do not know if I should have the player replaced or if it can be repaired, or if in fact the played is the issue.

When working the GPS and the rest of the system works well. I wish this was a chip bases system like my Furuno NAVNET marine system.

Any advice from anyone who has experienced these problems would be appreciated. Thanks JW.
