Need a replacement radio (with USB) for my '04 A4

The previous owner of my car (2004 A4 Quattro with the symphony cassette/6 disc changer) damaged the lcd screen on the radio to where it's mostly blotched out. I'm looking for something that I can replace the stock radio with something with a USB port to listen to the music on my phone/internet radio, as well as hopefully keeping the 6 disc changer, although that is not a hugely important part. Mostly I just want to be able to read the screen and use usb devices.

Would anyone be kind enough to point me towards a product like this? I have used google but found a confusing list of aftermarket systems, that i'm not sure fit my car/needs

Thanks! and it feels good to be in the Audi fam ;)

2 Attachment(s)
I did all the stereo work in my 04 A4..
Had the stock Symphony II (iirc)

I must warn you, if you're debating on tackling this yourself, it's quite the headache at first but definitely worth the time & effort.

First, I suggest you start with an:
A4 B6 Single Din Dash Kit

Next step is deciding on the aftermarket cd player you'd like.
I recommend Pioneer for a budget install.

Just make sure the CD player has an AUX input on the face of it.
--> I'd recommend this one for you <--

It has the 3 High Voltage Preouts (RCA outputs) that you need to install a sub in your car.

Any other questions, just ask.
Here's my dash:
Eclipse AVN 6600

Hijack.....

ive installed 100's of radios in my time but never on an audi, is this jsut as simple as a plug and play like everyother car or does it need to go through the VAG system?

It "should" be plug and play as long as you get the correct wiring harness...
No need to mess with the VAG.
Research the Audi and find out if a Symphony/Bose amp is in the back (Normally behind trim in trunk; above rear passenger wheel well... at least that's where my Symphony II amp is)
I hope this steers you in the right direction.
