Default PhatNoise Question

Im going to buy a PhatNoise for my 2001 a4 and i've been looking in the trunk to see if i have the correct connection for it. All I see in the trunk is a 25 pin connector that looks like a printer/serial port. Does anyone know if this would be the correct thing to use to hook up a Phat Noise?

Thanks

If it's like the A6, the answer is no. The DB-25 connector you describe is an interface for the OEM phone kit. You're looking for a round connector (not sure about how many pins -- 13 I think).

yes its a round 13 pin connector. I couldn't find the stupid thing so I thought that my car maybe wasn't wired for a CD Changer, but after calling Audi they said mine was. So is it hiding behind something that I don't see? Is there like an access panel or something where this 13 pin connector is at? or is it just out in the open?

i was wondering if you were succesfull installing the Phatnoise. i have the same car and im getting ready to get a phatbox off Ebay.
i did a bit of research and the only thng that sounds complicated is pulling the H/U out and messing with the wires and connector.
let me know how you did.
thx
