Proximity sensor issue - possibly
Hello all,
I have a 2018 A4, 2 liter turbo.
In the last several weeks, the car started beeping, occasionally, with the "Check surroundings!" message displayed. There is no consistence to this problem that I could detect.
This morning, on a short drive to a store, it beeped almost non-stop, with the front driver side highlighted in red. Pressing the break pedal at a stop light would also trigger beeping.
On the way back from the store, the car did not beep even once, like it was brand new.
I can think of three possibilities:
- poor contact somewhere in the circuit (that's why the problem is not consistent);
- pressing break pedal triggers something (no idea why);
- driver's side proximity sensor is going bad;
Any suggestion as to the next steps is appreciated.
