Default rear deck problem

first off. im driving a 98 a4 2.8 quattro w/ the bose concert system (no stock sub)
(factory head unit still installed)

alright, my problem is that when i bought the car a month or so back, the rear deck speakers were blown. (or i assume they are blown because of the terrible rattle they produce when trying to play low frequencies)
so i went out and bought these speakers this afternoon:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1099388425823

i installed them into the car today, and im now realizing that the rear deck speakers in this car are only producing low frequencies (bass only)... which is not what i want. i payed $90 for lows, mids and highs.

it wouldnt be so much of a problem for me except that the bass the speakers do produce does not sound clean at all (once the volume is even "half-way loud")

the only way it sounds decent is when the bass is set to "-5"

are the rear deck speakers SUPPOSED to be producing bass only?

if so, is there any way i can re-wire something to get my mids and high notes? and if i cant re-wire... then what would be the best replacement speakers.

ive found 6 1/2" JL Audio 6W0 150watt subwoofer at:
http://www.techronics.com/index.cfm?...FRc8OAodIA905g

would that work? it seems to me that i would probobly sound like crap, because the sub's wouldnt have encloseures. also because i dont know if the stock amp would provide the correct power that the sub would require.

i plan on installing a 12inch sub and amp soon, so i dont want bass only coming out of my rear deck speakers, because the sub will be able to handle all the bass.

pleeeaase help!

thanks in advance
