hey everyone i got my car about 1 month ago this guy had a/d/s speakers in the rear doors and in the trunk i swiched the speakerd 2 alpine type r's do u think it will help if i hook up an amp 2 them will it be louder and will it be worth it 2 hook it up 2 the stock headunit bec the speakers sound like compleat crap but in my previous car they sounded wonderfuli have a 2000 s4 any info will be greatly appriciated thanks!

 

I just got a headache reading your post. I woulda kept the A/D/S and dumped the type r's. How did it sound before you tossed them? If you want them to sound better, redo all of the wiring and get a new HU.

 

the alpine type r'soundway better for some reason i wanna try from getting a new headunit bec i like the stock look its just weard that the front speakers i have are a/d/s and they work great but the rear doors and the trunk speakers you dont have any sound what ever are they suposta be just for bass? or are they on a different frequency???

 

HaHa, some of your questions are why people only run a front stage. If it were me, i would rip out the speakers behind the head rests, and make an entrance for the subs in the trunks to fire into the cabin. If you dont have subs, maybe that where you should look.
