Hi, I have a P reg Audi a3 1.8(Non turbo). When I bought the car it only came with a tape player so I bought another head unit for it. It all works fine accept that I can not get the rear speakers to work.

I have Bought a harness for it and everything seems like it is connecting properly so I really don't know what I am doing wrong. I was just wandering if anybody that has encountered this problem before found a solution. Also the rear speakers and amp worked when the standard radio was in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

i've just bought an W reg A3, it came with kenwood CD unit (soo standard unit replaced) and my rear speakers don't work either, I was hoping to find something here myself!!!

 

are you shore you have'nt got dummy speakers in rear if you have the 3dr version

 

Had a similar experience with my 8L - Remember that the rear speakers run to an amp/subwoofer in the back (left hand side), so they have to be connected to the Line-Outs and not the rear speaker wires.

Perhaps the problem is lying there.....
