Default Shutoff Amp w/ headunit?

I have a '00 A4 without Bose
I bought new speakers for the front, new amp and new subs. I'm hooking up the rear speakers to the amp for audio, using rca's. I heard that on the left rear speaker there's a white wire you can hook up to an amp so when you shutoff the car or the radio the amp will shut. But this was on a '97. SO I went and looked and I see the white wire. Does this work on '00 or later?
I'd appreciate the help!

Actually for people doing a search. On the back left speaker you'll see a clip with tons of wires. That's the amplifier that supplies power to the back speakers. The white wire is a remote wire that can be used to turn on and off an amp. It will turn on and off when you shut off your radio.
I bought a Clarion ProAudio deck and had my friend cut some ABS plastic to make me a dash kit. I did not use the HU amp. I ran preamp to my one amp that runs my front speakers and then preamps for my subs. So I didn't hook up my radios speakers just for the remote and power. Man, it's unbelievable! I have 600 watts RMS to my 2x10" AudioBahns, then 85watts rmsx2 to my Audiobahn 5 1/4 component speakers. Man the highs are bad. I'm going to hook up components to the back.
