I was wondering if it would be possible to hardwire my valentine one radar to the visor light wiring. I realize that I don't want to hardwire it to a source that is on all of the time, but I wasn't sure if the visor light is technically on all of the time since you need to pull the mirror cover back for it to turn on.

I have 2013 A4.

 

I hardwired mine to one of the fuses in the fuse box inside the drivers door. You just have to run a positive and a ground. I believe I used the fuse for the gauge cluster, since that only turns on when the car is running. And the ground you just wire it to a bare metal spot somewhere under the dash, preferably somewhere that already has a ground running too it.
