2001 Imola Yellow S4 B5 PAINT
Not fond of yellow... Infact I don't see myself ever driving a yellow car (except that one time I deampt I was in a yellow Saleen S7)... The thing is I may be able to buy a Yellow S4 at a good price. If I wanted to get it painted black, how much money would it take to get a good solid paint job (no orange peal) and paint inside the door jams, inside the trunk, and inside the hood?
Does painting inside the hood require you to take out the engine? It looks very tight in there... Has anyone ever had their audi painted a different color? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Yellow is just too "Look at me, look at me!" Every car I've ever owned was black; I just need to know what I'm getting myself into before I buy it... I want black because it looks safisticated and badass all at the same time... It also looks better w/ a CF hood and trunk... Anyone know anything about getting these painted? How much I'd be looking at/what needs to be done to paint inside the hood...?

if you wanna do it right, it will probably be cheaper to buy an already black one then
yes, i would pull the engine, yes i would pull the interior, yes i would pull everything out of the trunk
if you ever sell the car, and the new buyer starts inspecting and see's any hint of imolia that might break the deal when you go to sell
and you are looking at about 2500+ for a good paint job, that doesn't include pulling the motor..... and if you got the motor out, you might as well do all the maintenance... ie turbo's hoses tb/wp...... cause why pull it a few months later for turbos or whatever
pass on the car and get a black s4

Hmmm... HMM!! Eventually I will go stage 3 with w/e audi I buy... Maybe before I do that I could pull everything out and have it painted... GOD DAMNIT! I don't think I'm going to be able to pass on this one. It is quite clean... Test Driving it tomorrow...

dude, anyone who is a fan of audis is a fan of the imola yellow, it is the most chased color audi out there, extremely rare. You may not see yourself as the yellow kinda person, and it does scream for attention, only cause its awesome. You can paint it but youd be better off getting a black one. Let the yellow stay on the road. Someone else would buy it for the rareness of the color.
