Guy's I'm new to the forum so if someone has already asked this question i aploagize.

I Picked this part up from the dealer today Audi A6 3 Piece Lip Spoiler Part#
4F0071640 9AX The side pieces fit great on the test fit. But the main trunk
piece dont fit at all. Has any one ever put one on there car. My body shop seems to think its a defect. I had the dealer order me a new one just to see

 

I would have to think it's a misboxed item, or defective as well. That is the correct part number for your year/make/model. The only footnote is it won't fit the S-line cars. There are 5 part number choices on trunks for this car, but 2 can be eliminated for other reasons. My guess is the S line trunk already has a bit of a contour change. If your vin has option code 5J2 then it's possible this won't fit.

 

My vin dont have that code in it. I have reviewed many photos online and from the looks of it .The base all the way up to the prestige and s-line have the same trunk lid.
I have the A6 prestige with sports package and cold weather package. Thanks for the reply and any other info you have would help

 

With the help of Jeff-AudiUSAParts and my local dealer we found out i have an s-line trunk lid on my car This is a major bummer as i was tring to cover up a scratch with the spoiler. Funny thing is i dont have the s-line package But Audi installed the s-line trunk with my sports package. Looks like its off to the body shop.
