Anyone know much about radiator core supports?

Default Anyone know much about radiator core supports?
Im trying to find out what exactly is the difference between 2001 a4's radiator core support of a 1.8T and 2.8L. Someone told me its the cross member and therefore its diff on the suport where the holes line up.
