Default audi 80 cabriolet opaque rear window

hi.

i have seen the light and bought a mid-life crisis convertible

this is my first post and i have had a good look on here already so please dont shoot a newbie.

my question is " has anyone had any good results with unopaquing an opaque rear plastic window in an audi 80 cabriolet".

i have searched the net and a product called "hindsight" is mentioned. the results it promises do seem very good and maybe too good - has anybody used etc etc.

many thanks in advance

to the OP, I would think your best option is to replace the rear window. I'm not familiar with the specific product you mention, however, in my experience such claims are usually over rated. If it isn't too expensive though you may as well give it a shot

Default Audi 80 rear window problem

Hallo stu.b

I've stumbled upon your post so I thought I'd point you in the right direction (although this is a little bit late)
This is a German thread but it seems that the poster there has found the right stuff to get the screen back to "like new" condition.

The next link is a prototype with glass rear window. The top is the original and does not have to be taken off to fit the rear screen.

Many regards

Default How to Replace Rear Window?

Replacing rear windows is not much different than replacing front ones. It also might not happen as often since most damage often occurs to the front windows. More than anything, make sure that any replacement window glass is not just for your make and model vehicle but also designed for the rear door and not the front. The two major causes for window replacement lie in the glass itself and the regulator holding it within the door.

1. Access the Window.
2.Replace the Window.

You have to be careful of them .
