So I went ahead and painted my stockies.

I took them apart completely and painted each individual piece. Then assembled them gave them one more good coat and mounted them. My stock grille is broken so I ordered some blackout grilles from ECSTuning but I got impatient waiting for them to arrive. I think I like this gunmetal color a lot better on my silver car anyway. I will be painting them when they come in as well.

I went ahead and took off all the rear badges and painted them too. =)

 

What kind of paint did you use?

 

I used Rustoleum Metallic. The color is like a dark pewter. It looks really good against the silver because it has the same shimmer. I'll take some pics in the sunlight so you can see it better.

 

 

Are those the stock headlights? They look better than mine lol

 

As far as I know they are. There wasn't one aftermarket part on the car when I bought it.

The grille in your link is badgeless.The grille in my picture is stock and painted. The one I ordered arrived a few days after the picture and it is nearly identical. I ordered it unpainted from ECS.
