HID headlamp bulb question

one of my D1S XenStart Xenon bulbs (9285147294) went out so i need a replacement.

Will any D1S bulb work as a replacement?

i have searched for some kind of protective coat that i could have painted over the clear coat to help protect it buh there is nothin... its jus something we have to deal with
