Default HID Xenon Headlights are VERY DIM!

Hi Everyone, new poster here, We have a 2004,B6 A4 Cabriolet 3.0 Quattro with 80K miles. Our trouble is the factory HID Xenon Headlights have gotten Very Dim. Everything appears to be working properly ( no codes, lights pan up and down at startup ) The LOW Beams are just horrible. Some A4's have had a recall for bad reflector buckets but my VIN is not included in the recall. So.. Any repair ideas? All replacement lights are for the factory Halogen Lights ONLY! Finding a source for parts for these lights would be a big help too! Thanks,

i think after 14 years... its time to buy new bulbs and new ballasts. look on e bay for D1S HID bulbs. They will cost u 29$ the pair and its the exact same as the one at the dealership for 200$ the pair. i recommend you first try replacing the bulb... then if it doenst fix your issue... you will have to buy new ballasts... but start with bulbs only.

I feel like we're going to need to do the same with my daughters car. The lights seem VERY dim and it's hard to see, especially on rainy dark nights.

Will it be bright at startup? Is it from light to dark?
