Default painting rear lip spoiler

The previous owner did a crappy job painting it and didn't even spray clear over it. The paint is starting to come off and I was thinking of trying to repaint it myself. I wouldn't know where to find spray paint to match my factory silver paint so I was thinking of just painting it black and then adding clear over it. Do you think that would look good? Also, what would be the right paint to use for this type of project?

U can take it to a body shop and they shouldnt charge you very much to paint it. I can remeber what site it is that sells cans by the color of your paint code. Taht would be your best bet if u plan on a diy. Prep before painting is the biggest part in acheiving a quality finish.
