I used VHT niteshades on mine and love it. You've just got to make sure you get a good enamel clear coat over it.

 

thats what I plan on doing when my lamin-x deteriorates. I just used the vinyl first to make sure I liked the tinted tails before I did something permanent like the niteshades, but Im sure the niteshades would look better because you can get a high gloss clear coat on em and I am looking forward to doin them. At the same time I do the vht on the tails Im gonna open up my headlights and paint the amber side marker too to make em ecodes

 

Or you could take your lights out and take them to a shop for a lite coat of black and a couple coats of clear.

 

I used VHT nite-shades on mine and am really happy with how they turned out. I then went over with a clear coat so I got a semi gloss look.
