Default Tires

MyA3 has 33k on it and the ContiProContactsare making a horrible racketwith some slight shaking. Dealer says it is the tires an need some new ones. Does this seem right? This is my first performance car as I have always had big pickup trucks. Should I stay with the Contis or go with something else?

Thanks for the advice.

Cheers

Default RE: Tires

Are they saying the tires have worn unevenly? If so that would make sense but any tire in good shape with even wear and no flat spots should not cause shaking. Some tires are just noisy so replacing them for new ones of the same kind may prove noise. TireRack has a lot of reviews on tires and they do measure the noise etc.
