Hello all, I'm new to the forum so I will apologize in advance if I'm committing common errors or asking redundant questions, any suggestions would be helpful. I have recently came back from a business trip in Germany and loved all the Audis over there. Someone here was selling a beat up 86 Quattro 5000 cs for 750 dollars and I decided to get it and fix it up a little, it has quite a bit wrong with it but I love driving it anyway, even with so much falling apart it performs well. The first repair I wanted to make was in the front suspension and I was wondering how to tell if my tie rod ends have the 14 mm thread or 16 mm without pulling it apart. I will have to order them and I would like to have them before I started taking it apart. Also, if anyone wants to share other info about this vehicle I would be obliged.
