Default spam out of control again...

I'd flag it all but with a 60second wait it'd take me 3 or 4 hours... This is going to be the death of this site...

I'm with you Don. Every once in a while I go on a flagging jag but usually get frustrated with the amount of time it takes.

That's about how long, per spammer/group-of-spammers (assuming they're ALL on the same "page") it takes to remove, too. meh... Maybe twice that, if you're gonna BAN them, also.

Compared to how active this joint was, 5/6 years ago, when I first joined, this place is a ghost-town, save for the A4 sections.

I'd have to attribute some of that to a bad host also. This morning I pretty much couldn't access the website and it's always slow to load.

Removing some of the ads could help, besides I seriously doubt the forum is making enough money on advertising to make it worth the loss of members when they get frustrated about load times and close the browser to never return.

Uptime and download speed imo is the biggest problem I've seen.

Choco, I cud equate our anti-spammer efforts to those of the constabulary chasing criminals. Until the perps DO something, there isn't much we can DO to stop them.

Maybe if we FORCE EVERYONE to login through dial-up, the spammers'll get frustrated and go away...
