Not to spoil the party but my 98 A4 2.8Q Avant has all displays working properly. Of course I got it used so who know if any work was done. The stealership has all of the records since new. May have to check it out. Sure hope it doesn't start to go. Good luck to all, and for what it is worth, put me down for getting Audi to fix this problem-it may be mine too someday!

 

i have the same issue with both my 2000 4.2 and my brother's 1999 2.8. everyone i seem to speak with regarding their audi has the issue as well. very dissapointing when you know the manufacturer is well aware of the problem and continues to deny.

 

I have lines going out/fading as well - 2001 TT Roadster, 73k miles

 

1998 a4 1.8tqm, missing pixels on the climate controll....with all of these problems that everyone, but that one guy is having.....I'd say it's time for audi to bite the bullet and have a mass recall!...give me my pixels back!!!!

 

Just purchased a 2001 Allroad with only 25.8K miles. Primary dash display has this problem.

 

Same issues on both my 1998 Audi a6 quattro, and on my other 1999 audi a6 quattro !!! poor business

 

I cleaned all of the wires contacts that I could find "because my car wouldnt start" and my LCD went to 7 lines out to only oneeven if they look good take a wire brush to them you'll me amazed[/align]

 

One more bad display here. 1999.5 A4 1.8T AT.

 

Which contacts did you clean? The ones that go in the back of the instrument panel?
