I'm posting on a friends behalf as he isn't computer literate !

My friend has just bought an A4 2003 2.0l. Its done circa 100k miles.

He keeps experiencing a complete loss of power under medium to high revs. Engine still runs but just does nothing. He turns it if and on again and its fine!? Its happened 3 times now in the space of a week.

He thinks the EPC light comes on also. Apart from that the car drives lovely so maybe an electrical problem??

Any advice would be appreciated as he is clueless to what it could be.
