Default 1.8t misfire

i got a 2001 a4 1.8t. I replaced the coils and spark plugs and it still misfires. It idles fine but...It sputters and jerks when i give it any gas! What could be causing that?

i've been having the same problem. with all the searching i've been doing here at work, i've noticed that it may be the EDTS(engine coolant temperature sensor) it's only about $6 or $7 and it's right behind the engine. looks easy. i'm waiting to do it on my day off, friday. i'll let you know how that goes.

If it misfires when you accelerate it may be a dirty throttle body. it may need to be cleaned then adapted with a proper scan tool. If it missfires at idle see which cylinder is missfiring then swap a good coil or spark plug to see if thats it. good luck
