Ok people remember the VAG 1.8 TDI, you could buy a 105bhp then drop inthe 135bhp chip/ecu?

Can it be done on the new 140 bhp Diesel, as in. Buy a new 140, then buy the chip of a 170bhp and switch them. As this wud be cheaper than buying a 170.

Or is there more to it than just the chip on these models?

 

C'mon people - someone must know.

Not just wondering - am gonna buy one or the other - and the cost saving is quite a bit if i buy the 140...
