I have a 1997 Audi A3 (euro specs). The ABS light is on. Every now and then it will go off and come back on. When It does go off you can hear something trying to adjust, like mechanically, and the brake pedal get some good vibrations. Could this be a ABS wheel sensor??

 

Probably. If you can get the OBD codes off the ECU it will probably tell you which one it is.
